  • You can subscribe to Sky Sport Now on a Day Pass ($29.99), Month Pass ($59.99/mth) or Annual Pass ($549.99/yr), and you can cancel at any time before your renewal date. Day Passes will not automatically renew, while Month and Annual Passes will automatically renew.

    Day, Month and Annual passes give you access to all Sky Sport & ESPN channels, and on-demand content.

    Pay-Per-View events are purchased separately.

  • Yes, if you do not want your pass to renew automatically you can cancel at any time on the ‘Subscriptions’ page on our website.

    When you cancel a Month Pass or Annual Pass, you will not receive a refund of the amount paid. You will be entitled to view content for the remainder of your pass and cancellation will take effect at the end of the term.

  • There are several options to catch up on events that you may have missed watching live:

    1. Catch up on all live events for 48 hours using the Instant Replay row on the Sky Sport Now home page. Replays are available shortly after events finishes. Note, these replays are unedited and may contain breaks.

    2. You can also catch up on events up to 6 hours in the past by scrolling back in the TV Guide and selecting the event.

    3. Edited on-demand replays of key events will be uploaded after an event finishes.

    4. There are often replays of key events scheduled, check the TV Guide for details.

  • You can access Sky Sport Now on multiple devices, but you can only stream video on one device at a time. If there is more than one device attempting to access video at one time, then the first device will stop streaming.

  • Sky Sport Now is for personal use only, and is strictly prohibited to be shown in pubs or other commercial outlets. Please contact Sky Business if you need sport in a commercial location.

  • Yes, you can! If you're visiting New Zealand and want to stream Sky Sport Now, you’ll need to download the app from the New Zealand App Store or Google Play Store.

    For iOS users:

    1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.

    2. Tap your name at the top, then go to Media & Purchases > View Account.

    3. Select Country/Region > Change Country or Region.

    4. Choose New Zealand from the list.

    5. Accept the terms and conditions and enter a valid New Zealand address (a hotel address works fine).

    6. Once changed, search for Sky Sport Now in the App Store and download the app.

    For Android users:

    1. Open the Google Play Store app.

    2. Tap your profile icon in the top right, then go to Settings > General > Account and device preferences.

    3. Under Country and profiles, tap the New Zealand option (this will only appear if you're physically in NZ).

    4. Follow the prompts to switch — you can use your foreign credit card as a payment method in NZ.

    5. Once your store updates, search for Sky Sport Now and install the app.

    Once installed, follow the in-app prompts to purchase a Day, Month or Annual Pass and you’re all set to stream as much sport as you like.

    You can use your foreign credit card to pay — no local card required. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and PayPal.

  • No, Sky Sport Now is only available for viewing in New Zealand in order to comply with our broadcasting rights.

Account & Billing

  • If you do not want your pass to renew automatically and you are not paying via your Apple account, you can cancel at any time on the ‘Subscriptions’ page on our website.

    To cancel your subscription paid via your Apple account, you must follow these steps:

    1. Go to Settings on the device on which the purchase was originally made

    2. Select 'Apple ID, iCloud, Media & Purchases'

    3. Select Subscriptions

    4. Locate and tap the relevant subscription, then select 'Cancel Subscription'

    When you cancel a Month Pass or Annual Pass, you will not receive a refund of the amount paid. You will be entitled to view content for the remainder of your pass and cancellation will take effect at the end of the term.

  • Please note, we don't refund for any unused days on a Month or Annual Pass.

    If you would like to request a refund and your purchase was made through our website please email our customer support team at support@skysportnow.co.nz.

    For Apple TV, iPad and iPhone App purchases you will need to contact Apple Customer Service for refunds at https://getsupport.apple.com.

    When you cancel a Month Pass or Annual Pass during its term, you will not receive a refund of the amount paid. You will be entitled to view Sky Sport Now content for the remainder of your pass and cancellation will take effect at the end of the term.

  • Voucher codes can only be redeemed via web, and cannot be redeemed on the Sky Sport Now Apple applications.

    New Customers:

    1. Go to the Sky Sport Now Website

    2. Click ‘Sign Up’ at the top right of the page

    3. Select ‘Buy Now’ on the pass that is applicable to your promo code – Month or Annual

    4. In the ‘Order Summary’ box, add your promo code and click ‘Apply’

    5. Once this code has been applied, select one of the payment options in the left box to continue your account creation with your promo code applied.

    6. Follow the remaining account creation steps.

    Existing Customers

    1. Go to the Sky Sport Now Website

    2. Click ‘Sign In’ at the top right of the page

    3. Login to your account

    4. Go to My Account > Subscriptions

    5. If you do not have an existing subscription, select ‘Buy Now’ on the pass that your promo code is applicable to > add the promo code > complete the purchase with your promo code applied.

    6. If you have an existing subscription and your promo code is applicable to that subscription type, select the ‘Apply a Promo Code’ option in the box of the Pass and enter your promo code.

    7. If your promo code is applicable to a different Pass, select ‘Buy Now’ on that pass > apply your promo code and complete the purchase of that pass.

  • Day, Month and Annual Passes are no longer available for purchase in the Sky Sport Now App for Apple TV, iPhone and iPad. However, purchases can be made on our website and you can watch Sky Sport Now on your Apple device.

    For customers who already have a Sky Sport Now subscription through Apple this will continue to be supported.

    If you have an enquiry relating to the set‐up of, or purchases made through Apple TV, iPhone or iPad, you need to work directly with Apple for support. Apple recommends you complete an email contact form. Please follow this link.

    Restore purchases maintains access to content you've already purchased, e.g. if you buy a new Apple device, you'll want to ensure your old purchases move across to your account on your new Apple device.

    You will need to contact Apple Customer Service for refunds at https://getsupport.apple.com.

  • We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and PayPal.

  • Account information:

    Sign in to your Sky Sport Now account, click on the 'My Account' link at the top of the page and go to the Account Details. Make your changes and then click the 'Submit button.

    Payment information:

    Sign in to your Sky Sport Now account, click on the 'My Account' link at the top of the page and go to the Payment Details page. Click ‘Add Card’ to add a new payment method. You can also remove any existing payment methods.

  • The charge appears on your credit card bill as "SKY Sport Now". Please check with your credit card provider if any extra fees apply.

    You may see a small additional charge (approx. NZ$1‐2) on your Credit Card transaction. This should only occur if you have just signed up for PayPal or changed the Credit Card associated with your account. This amount should be reversed within 24 hours.

  • Follow the email preferences link in 'My Account' to update your communications preferences.

  • Ensure you are signed in on the account and email address that you purchased Sky Sport Now on.

Sky Sport Now in 4K UHD

  • Sky has launched 4K Ultra High Definition (UHD) to give customers a premium viewing experience of selected live sports events! 

  • Sky Sport Now Annual Pass subscribers will have access to 4K UHD from launch on an ongoing basis at no additional cost.

  • You will be able to watch 4K UHD content on Sky Sport 1 UHD. This will be added as an additional channel to Sky Sport Now and will stream the same schedule as Sky Sport 1.

    Sport filmed in 4K UHD will play on Sky Sport 1 UHD. When a sports broadcast on Sky Sport 1 UHD is only available in High Definition (HD), the content will be upscaled for an enhanced viewing experience.

    At times when more than one live sport event is available in UHD, you’ll be able to watch on a pop-up 4K UHD channel to make sure you don’t miss a moment of the action.

  • 4K Ultra High Definition (UHD) is a high-quality video format four times the resolution of High Definition (HD) and twenty times the resolution of Standard Definition (SD).

    Watching in 4K UHD means a sharper image, clearer detail and vibrant, true-to-life colours, when watching on a 4K compatible TV.

  • Sky’s 4K UHD coverage will launch for the beginning of the Ashes, on the 21st of November 2025. An exciting range of premium sport will be confirmed for broadcast in 4K UHD in the coming months.

    At times when more than one live sport event is available in UHD, you’ll be able to watch on a pop-up 4K UHD channel to make sure you don’t miss a moment of the action.

    Please note that Sky will deliver a combination of ‘native UHD’ content and HD content that has been ‘upscaled’ to UHD. Native UHD refers to events that are captured, encoded, and broadcast entirely in Ultra High Definition (UHD) from start to finish. Upscaling is a technique that takes video shot at a lower resolution (such as HD) and increases the pixel count to display it in 4K quality.

  • Instant replays of 4K UHD content will play in 4K UHD.

    However, 4K UHD content will play in HD when accessed On Demand. 

  • Annual Pass customers will have access to 4K UHD added automatically at no additional cost.

    To watch Sky Sport 1 UHD, you’ll need a Sky Sport Now Premium Month Pass or Annual Pass, and a 4K compatible TV or device.

  • To fully experience 4K UHD on Sky Sport Now, you’ll need a 4K compatible TV which supports UHD resolution (3840x2160 at 50Hz).

    If your TV does not meet the above criteria, you will still receive the content although it will only be in HD format.

    To enjoy UHD content, you’ll need both an HDCP 2.2-compatible device and an HDMI 2.0 cable. Older HDMI cables may only support HD resolution and won’t deliver full UHD quality.

    Additionally, you will require minimum 25Mbps internet speed to stream 4K UHD content. For the optimal viewing experience, a fibre internet connection is recommended.

Device Support

  • Android mobile and tablet devices running Android 10+ are supported. Download the Sky Sport Now app from the Google Play Store.

    iOS/Apple mobile and tablet devices running iOS 13+ are supported. Download the Sky Sport Now app from the App Store.

  • Sky Sport Now supports the following models:

    • Google Chromecast (Version 4 and newer)

    • Selected Android TVs with built-in Chromecast

    Follow the three simple steps below:

    • Set up your Chromecast using the instructions supplied by Google

    • Connect your chosen device to the same Wi-Fi as the Chromecast

    • Sign into Sky Sport Now on your device and select the Chromecast icon

  • Android TV devices that support the operating system Android TV 10.0 are supported. This includes Sony Bravia, TCL and Panasonic devices. Download the Sky Sport Now app from the Google Play Store.

  • Samsung TV devices manufactured from 2020 onwards are supported (Tizen 5.5 operating system and newer). Download the Sky Sport Now app from the Samsung Smart TV hub store.

  • LG TV devices manufactured from 2020 onwards are supported (WebOS 5.5 operating system and newer). Download the Sky Sport Now app from the LG Smart World or LG Store.

    LG Smart TV 2020 or later models have a feature called “Sport Alerts” that can provide live score updates and game results onto your TV screen. To avoid any spoilers, we recommend turning off the Sports Alert feature or use another device. To find out more watch here.

  • Apple TV devices 4th generation and newer with iOS version 11.2 or later are supported. Download the Sky Sport Now app from the Apple App Store.

    If you have purchased a Sky Sport Now pass from our website, simply login to your Apple TV device with the account you purchased from.

    The Sky Sport Now app will check your subscription when you launch the app. If the app is running when your monthly pass renews, the pass will show as expired, and you'll need to launch the app again to refresh the subscription. We suggest you sign out, sign in, then restore purchases to find your pass.

  • Panasonic TV devices manufactured from 2019 onwards are supported. Download the Sky Sport Now app from the App Market.

  • Playstation 5 devices are supported. Download the Sky Sport Now app from the Playstation Store.

  • Amazon Fire OS 7.0 and newer is supported. Download the Sky Sport Now app on the Amazon Fire TV App store. 

    Follow the three simple steps below: 

    • Use the main menu on your Amazon Fire TV to search for the Sky Sport Now app. 

    • Select download to start your download. 

    • Sign in using your Sky Sport Now login details. 

    Sky Sport Now does not support Fire TV Stick 4K Select (Vega OS).

  • Hisense TV devices manufactured from 2022 onwards are supported. Download the Sky Sport Now app from the Hisense TV App Store.

    • Connect the HDMI cable to your laptop.

    • Put the other end into the correct input in your TV.

    • Grab the remote and select the source your laptop is plugged into (i.e. HDMI 1)

    • Your laptop screen should Now be shown on the TV

    • Open the Sky Sport Now website, select the content you want to play and press full screen

  • Yes, Sky Sport Now does support AirPlay from your iPhone, iPad or the browser extension on your Mac. Make sure your Apple TV and device are on the same wireless network.

    • Go to your TV and select the source your Apple TV is plugged into

    • Select a show/movie on your device and press play

    • Press AirPlay and select Apple TV

  • The minimum requirements for Windows computers are:

    • Intel Pentium 4 2.33GHz or higher or equivalent AMD processor with a minimum of 2GB of memory and 128MB of video RAM.

    • One of the following operating systems: Windows 8 or Windows 7

    • Microsoft Internet Explorer, Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox (The current version is supported plus the two previous versions):

    • Video adapter and monitor: Super VGA (1024x768) or higher.

    The minimum requirements for Mac computers are:

    • Intel Core Duo 1.5GHz with a minimum of 2GB of memory and 128MB of video RAM

    • Mac OS X 10.4+

    • Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari or Google Chrome. The current version is supported plus the two previous versions.

    • Macromedia Flash Player 10.1: http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about

    • Video adapter and monitor: Super VGA (1024x768) or higher.

Technical Troubleshooting

  • Ensure you have a supported device - see the Supported Devices section above.

    Check your internet speed has a stable connection of at least 7.5Mbps by running a speed test, it is important that run you run the test at the location and device you are trying to stream Sky Sport Now from. It is common for the Wi-Fi connection to your Smart TV to be weak if your router is placed too far away. A Fibre Broadband connection is recommended.

    If your connection speed fluctuates (many factors can contribute to this such as network congestion during peak times or other devices sharing your connection) Sky Sport Now detects this and adjusts the quality of the video stream to ensure you can continue viewing content without interruption.

    Ensure you have the latest firmware installed on your device. Make sure your computer is up to date with the latest patches and your video card's drivers are current and you are not running additional applications in the background.

  • You'll need a broadband internet connection of 7.5Mbps or higher. If you have a broadband speed of 7.5Mbps or more and your device is supported, you should be able to enjoy Sky Sport Now at the highest video quality, but that will depend on other uses of your broadband connection at that time. To measure your internet connection, go to speedtest.net and check your download speed on the device you are using. Remember lots of factors including other internet use in your home can affect video quality and this is a guide only.

  • Sky Sport Now uses technology that adjusts to the best available download speed for your connection from 400kbps all the way up to HD 8000kbps depending on your device and connection.

    HD (1080p) is available where the stream is 8mbps and above.

  • The average 2 hour event will be roughly 7GB on the best quality. If you're going to be using your phone to stream on a 3G/4G/5G network, please be mindful of the data usage.

  • No. Since Sky Sport Now is delivered via the internet and not via satellite, Sky Sport Now users will not need to do anything during the upcoming Satellite migration.

Pay-Per-View

  • You can buy Pay-Per-View events on Sky Sport Now by heading to the Pay Per View page on the Sky Sport Now website in the main menu at the top of the page. Select the event you wish to purchase and follow the on screen purchase instructions. Please be aware that you can only purchase a PPV on the website but can watch on all devices once purchased.

  • On purchasing a Pay-Per-View event, you will have 2 days from the live event start time to access the content inclusive of replays.

Sky Sport Now Price Increase

  • From 1 April 2026, the price of Sky Sport Now’s Month Pass, Premium Month Pass and Sky Sport Now x NEON Bundle passes are increasing by $5 per month.

  • Sky Sport Now Month Pass will go from $54.99 to $59.99

    Sky Sport Now Premium Month Pass will go from $59.99 to $64.99

    Sky Sport Now x NEON Bundle Pass will go from $64.99 to $69.99

  • This increase means we can keep delivering the best of global and local sport with unmatched access to some of the world’s biggest events, all in one place. 

    We’ve locked in NZ Rugby rights meaning access to an absolutely stacked footy calendar including:

    • The brand new 12-team Nations Championship and

    • The return of ‘Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry when the All Blacks tour South Africa for the first time in 30 years.

    • Year-round coverage of the All Blacks and Black Ferns

    Plus, Premium Month Pass customers can enjoy more sport in stunning 4K UHD, with selected Super Rugby Pacific, and NRL matches, F1 Grand Prix and a range of other sport to be broadcast in superior quality.

  • If you choose our Sky Sport Now Annual Pass which costs $549.99, this is equivalent to a cost of $45.83 per month (a saving of over $290 if you were to take our Premium Monthly Pass).

  • You can change your Sky Sport Now pass at any time by following these steps:

    1. Sign in to your Sky Sport Now account.

    2. Head to My Account > Subscription

    3. Choose your preferred pass, then select Upgrade or Downgrade
      (Please note, you won’t be able to see those options if you already have upgraded and downgraded your plan once in the same billing period).

    4. Complete checkout.

    A pass upgrade takes effect immediately. Since Sky Sport Now is a prepaid service, on upgrading you will be charged the difference between what you have already paid for your current month and the balance due for your new plan.

  • All affected Month Pass, Premium Month Pass and Sky Sport Now x NEON Bundle Pass customers will receive an email informing them of the price increase on 19 February 2026.

  • You will continue to be billed by Sky Sport Now as usual. Your billing date will stay the same. Your primary payment method will remain the same.

  • If you are on a Sky Sport Now promo code, you will still be eligible for the discount. The discount will be applied to the new Month Pass price if the voucher is in use after 1 April 2026.

  • Head to the Sky Sport Now website, click ‘’Log In’’ and follow the instructions to reset your password.

  • If you wish to cancel your Sky Sport Now Month Pass, please follow the steps below:

    1. Login to your Sky Sport Now account

    2. Click on Account > Subscription tab

    3. Head to your Pass subscription and select ‘Cancel’.
